This charming Gascon holiday cottage is situated in the small rural French village of Sombrun, 2km from the vibrant but unvisited market town of Maubourguet in the Haute Pyreenees region of Southwest France.  Marciac, famous for its August jazz festival supported by international performers, is only 15 minutes to the east. 

 The cottage was built in typically French farmhouse style and features a good sized swimming pool, barbeque area, good parking and garden. It is about 150 years old and retains many orginal features internally. It is situated on a quiet road and is adjacent to a well maintained open garden. Local wood lands offer numerous walks which can include an old roman road.

There are numerous good restaurants and bars nearby and for the wine buff the village is in the wine producing region of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic bilh famous for its health giving qualities.
